Tom Retson
President, EnergyPath Corporation
Tom founded EnergyPath following a very successful 22 year career
with GE Power Systems and their nuclear energy business. Starting with GE upon graduation
from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S.
degree in nuclear engineering, Tom went on to
assume progressively more responsible
positions including Japan project management, nuclear fuel sales manager
roles in
the US and Europe and , most recently, Group Executive
for GE’s electric utility customers in the
northeast U.S. region. Tom has extensive
experience with nuclear energy markets in the
U.S. and Europe, combining both a strong
technical capability with a realistic business
focus. As the U.S. electric markets began
restructuring, Tom sought out opportunities to
employ his extensive knowledge of electric
markets to a broader level and ultimately
co-founded EnergyPath Corporation. Tom is a resident of Wilmington,
North Carolina.
Tom is also President and Nuclear Director for Transition Power
Development LLC and a member of the Thorium Power Inc. Technical
Advisory Board.
